Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos made a prediction about Turkish star Arda Guler as Los Blancos prepare to begin their pre-season tour in the United States.
Kroos, 34, retired from club football at the end of last season after lifting his sixth Champions League title and fifth overall with Madrid and is now enjoying his retirement.
Talking in an interview with Sky Germany, Kroos stated that Guler will have a great future if he stays healthy as he is always open to learning during as well as after training.
“He has a great future if he stays healthy,” the German legend said. “What sets Arda apart from other young players is that he is open to learning. Since he arrived he has paid a lot of attention to everything we did before and after training.”
“There are not many players like that today. He really wants to learn and improve. His finishing and his left foot are incredible, we all noticed that from the first training session.”
Guler did not get many chances last season as he struggled with injuries for the entirety of the first half of the season. There were rumours that he may look for a place elsewhere but he will continue his journey with the Whites.
The Turk also had a great Euro 2024 campaign and was given No. 15 by the club and he will be eager to impress head coach Carlo Ancelotti in the pre-season.
